What People Say

I’ve been using the Diversity pack and stories with a variety of groups during training sessions for about a year now and have found them effective in enabling discussion on a range of diversity issues. the stories really engage delegates and get them in the mood to discuss issues. I particularly like the story Shaking hands which is useful as an introduction to training on cultural awareness.

Thank you for introducing me to Telling Tales!! The production is excellent, the performers’ voices very clear and the stories are well-constructed and thought-provoking.

Telling tales supports and complements your own training, adding an alternative dimension

The stories are a really effective tool, mainly because they not only get the point across they also give your mind a break from the company you work for, to give you more of a general scenario which in turn lets you see things in a bigger picture.

Listening to the stories is a right-brain activity. Learning is more quickly observed, and it’s fun. It tends to put you in child-state, the stage when you’re most receptive to new ideas. Very effective.

By listening to the stories you can look at behaviour traits and apply them to live situations, to develop strategies from those scenarios in the workplace.

Thank you for your recent training session and for introducing us to the Zynia training package. The Zynia stories were very illustrative and accessible to my staff, helping them to understand more clearly the issues raised by showing them in every day situations.

(The stories) Crystallise thinking on potential situations that we may encounter. They stimulate general thinking around issues such as disability and ethics.

Both stories we heard were good and relevant. They started a discussion which aired different view points. I liked the fact that there were no ‘wrong’ answers, just alternatives.
