Holidays
I recently spent a week on a narrow boat going to Llangollen, the countryside is very pretty and parts of the route quite spectacular even in the rain.
One day we were queuing for a lock, it’s one of the busiest stretches of canal on the system, and I had plenty of time to observe what was going on. It reminded me of the Zynia story in Teams “Jolly Boating Weather”. It was so true – teamwork is vital and those who work together do a lot better, and if I can use a work analogy, are more effective than those who all do their own thing and don’t communicate. Sometimes I wondered if they were from the same boat as they ran around and totally ignored each other, everybody trying to do everything at the same time and some jobs getting forgotten all together.
Should we approach boat hire companies and ask if they’d like to play Jolly Boating Weather to all potential hirers?
