Learning Styles

Margaret

I’ve been thinking about Honey and Mumford’s learning styles questionnaire and how story and metaphor fit with their excellent idea.
Activists enjoy stories with a beginning, a middle and an end as they can see something happening eg. “The Away Day” in the Leadership Pack.
Reflectors enjoy stories that make them think such as “A Unique Cup of Coffee” in the Change Pack.
Theorists like stories they can get their teeth into and which illustrate salient points eg “Getting There” in the Teams Pack.
And lastly the pragmatists – they want practical stories like “The Environment” in the Change Pack.
That’s not a bad list, must eat more chocolate it obviously inspires me!
